Planning for SYPA Day 2011 is well underway. This one and a half day workshop will include keynote presentations from a leader in the field of prion research and an expert on science communication, as well as professional development training, a tour of Montreal and ample opportunities to network with other students and young professionals from around the world. The Networking and Job Fair Event will take place 6:15 - 7:15 pm, May 18th, following the PRION 2011 Panel Session.

Please note that meals are provided for registrants. There are two ways toregister for this event: 1) if you are attending PRION 2011, please indicate on your registration form that you will attend SYPA Day, 2) if you are not attending PRION 2011, please email Alison Palmer to confirm your attendance.

Young Professionals Training in Science Communication

Please note that this is a closed workshop; participants from PrioNet and NeuroPrion were chosen via an application process. This unique training session will take place prior to PRION 2011 in Montreal, from May 14-15, 2011, in the form of two simultaneous sessions, "Presenting Science" and "Debating Techniques". The application process for this training is now closed.The loation and schedule for the training are as follows:
